In the unlikely event of breakdown (or accident), you should notify us immediately and seek assistance via the RAC, details of which are provided in our rental information folder in the campervan. Fully comprehensive insurance, including roadside assistance is included in the cost of the hire.

Our main concern is for your welfare and to make sure you are ok.

If you are involved in a road accident we ask that you contact the police immediately, to report it and to be guided by them and their response/advice.

While we understand that genuine bumps and scrapes can (& do) happen from time-to-time, we don’t want these to ruin your adventure. However, by letting us know straight away, it will allow us to prepare for any repairs to the van that may be needed upon its return. Also, to let our next hire know if there is to be a problem in fulfilling their booking.

Yes, our advertised prices is the total you have to pay and includes unlimited mileage, fully comprehensive insurance (for named hire drivers), full roadside assistance etc.

Either a £500 (for all UK licence holders, between the ages of 25-75) or £700 (for all non-UK, licence holders and all 23/24 year olds) refundable security deposit is payable 7 days prior to collection of the campervan. This will be refunded no later than 14 days after the hire concludes and provided the campervan is returned in a clean and undamaged condition, with a full tank of fuel and confirmation that no road traffic offences and/or parking fines have been incurred.

The refundable security deposit is payable via Bank Transfer (& will be repaid in the same way) and must be cleared before release of the campervan to you on the first day of hire.

Our campervan is insured for drivers between the ages of 23 to 75 and holding a full valid UK driving license, for those named drivers on the hire agreement. Anyone else, not named on the hire agreement is not permitted to drive the campervan.

Also those having 2 years full, EU, US, Canada, Australia & New Zealand license experience (Subject to insurer confirmation/authorisation).

For damage to the campervan and the property of a third party (the hirer).

The security deposit will be used to set against the cost of any damage to the campervan up to the value of the deposit paid for the insurance excess.

The hirer will not have any insurance cover and is responsible for the total cost of any damage if they are in breach of the terms stated and signed for in the Terms & Conditions at the outset of the hire.

Yes, those having 2 years full, EU, US, Canada, Australia & New Zealand license experience can hire (Subject to insurer confirmation/authorisation).

Yes, but only if pre-arranged/agreed at the time of booking the campervan. There is an additional £25 cleaning charge for pets and we ask that under no circumstances are they left in the campervan on their own (at any time) nor are they allowed on the seats.

Our campervans are 4 berth, so legally carry four passengers (including the driver). There is both a fold down bed and a bed in the roof space of the campervan which can accommodate either one adult, two smaller adults or two children. There is maximum weight of 150kg for the roof bed, which is accessed from the front seats.

We also offer for hire a (very easy to assemble) 4 person (single pole tent) for those requiring additional living space.

No. Smoking is strictly prohibited in our vans, both when being driven and while stationary. (If we suspect that smoking has taken place within the campervan whilst on hire we reserve the right to withhold repayment of the Security Deposit).

Yes, we offer free off-street parking. Please note that vehicles are left at your own risk.

Campervan hires, start and finish at our base (Rathenview, Rathen, Fraserburgh, AB43 8UL) unless otherwise arranged.

While there would be an additional charge for this (agreed upon enquiry), yes we can offer a collection service from the airport or train or bus station.

Yes we’d be happy to help you plan your holiday and also are more than happy to recommend places of interest and stunning scenery throughout Scotland. All you need to do is give us a brief idea of what it is you want and we will do the rest.

The campervan battery charges either by electric hook-up or by driving the vehicle. If the campervan is going to be stationary for a couple of days, best to have campsite facilities to be able to hook-up (to charge the battery), but if driving every day, then the campervan will charge while driving. It’s not a problem however to charge via an electric hook-up once/twice a week just to give the battery a boost.

As the campervan is relatively light, hard-standing pitches are not a necessity. Grass pitches should be fine, unless however you are pitching up in wet conditions (which fingers crossed will never be the case!)

Yes, a full run through of the van and its facilities will be provided before you depart. This will include;

  1. Driving & parking
  2. Use of the vans facilities, including gas, heating and electric hook up
  3. Water & wastewater
  4. Using the awning

And any other questions you may have.

This is wholly dependent on availability. Written request and confirmation is required to extend the hire period (via email) and the additional hire charges must be received by us prior to commencement of extension to the hire.
